Social Impact

Social impact is a foundation of sustainability and fundamental to all organisations. Net Balance understands potential and actual social impacts - both positive and negative - and can design better projects, programs and even businesses to realise opportunities and mitigate risks.

Business is moving beyond using dollars spent as a measure of community investment. We need to determine the outcomes of that investment - the benefits to communities, employees and other stakeholders, as well as the reputational benefits and, in the case of business, the commercial return. Regulators are also requiring companies to demonstrate that they understand and are managing the social risks, opportunities and impacts inherent in their organisation. Net Balance works with companies to evaluate the social impacts and outcomes associated with their operations, programs and projects to mitigate risk and maximise opportunities.

Our not-for-profit clients engage us to assist with the development of strategy and partnerships, and to understand how they can better meet their social mission. We also work with organisations and government to build their internal capacity to measure and report impact. View examples of some of the work we have done for our clients.
