Energy audits

Net Balance has extensive experience undertaking Level 1, 2 and 3 energy audits under the AS3598 standard. Energy audits involve analysing a site’s current energy consumption and presenting a range of fully costed opportunities for improving energy management and energy efficiency.

Net Balance has experience making recommendations for efficiency improvements at commercial, industrial, residential and institutional facilities. Our technical energy team looks at all aspects of your site’s energy consumption, including:

  • Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)
  • Process equipment
  • Lighting
  • Motors
  • Boilers and furnaces
  • Air compressors
  • Refrigeration
  • Building fabric
  • Building tuning
  • On-site renewable energy generation
  • Clean energy conversions
  • Vehicles and mobile plant.

For our energy audits, we work closely with our colleagues in our Economics and Policy team to develop financially prudent, robust business cases for the opportunities we identify. We can incorporate a range of variables in our financial analysis of efficiency measures, including marginal abatement cost (MAC) curves and emissions reduction investment curves (ERICs), as well as Energy Budgets at Risk™ (EBaR) modelling.
